Children's Dental Exams and Cleanings
Dr. Jackie, along with the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend that a child see a dentist no later than one year of age. This initial visit allows your child to establish a "Dental Home"–a place for your child to grow and be supported throughout childhood and adolescence. Children who have a dental home established early are less likely to form cavities and are more likely to get the appropriate preventive and regular oral health care that they need. A dental home also gives your child a place to go in case of a dental emergency.
Our top priority is to create a comfortable, fun and happy environment for you and your child. A lot of parents worry about their child's first dental visit. We understand that you may have concerns, and therefore, we tailor each experience based on your individual needs. Our team works very hard to make the first (and every) dental appointment for your child a happy one.
As pediatric dental specialists, we know to pay special attention to your child’s emotional and developmental needs. Each child is unique, which is why we work with you to decide the best approach to achieve a happy and comfortable experience for your child. At every appointment our team makes it a priority to listen to your questions and concerns. Dr. Jackie and our caring team will happily explain all procedures as they gently and compassionately guide your child on his or her dental journey.
